This workshop is an invitation to learn the basics of knitting (casting on & knit stitch) We will begin a simple beginner level scarf using the knit stitch only (also called the garter stitch) We will also cultivate a practice of setting an intention or making a prayer and weaving that in with each stitch of our scarf. Participants will leave with the beginnings of a hand knit scarf.   This workshop is an invitation to learn the basics of plant dye alchemy. Plant dyeing is the oldest way of capturing color on textiles and is used amoung many different cultures. In this class you'll be able to witness the alchemical beauty of tranforming undyed fibers into living color pieces. We'll be experimenting with extracted dye from plants, modifiers and/or eco printing on organic fibers. You'll be guided through the foundations of natural dye in a step by step process that can support your journey of walking in color and giving new life to the threads that hold you. Join this unique opportunity to nurture embodiment within yourself and deepen connection with other women through the transformative power of photography. This container will start off with discussing consent and expectations to ensure that everyone feels safe, respected and comfortable. We will go into smaller groups and I'll offer intimate conversation prompts to encourage authentic relating with one another. You'll then be invited to participate in a group, nude, artistic photo session. The experience is powerful and thrilling and the resulting images are devotional to all of the facets that we encompass as women. The final images will be released a month afterwards.
