Spiritweavers

Cacao, the main ingredients in chocolate, is an ancient plant medicine that nourishes the heart. Drinking cacao in a ceremonial way is an Indigenous practice from Central America. A cacao ceremony is a sacred practice of full presence and nourishment. Cacao is a great facilitator to go within and unlock our heart space, awaken our senses and creativity, and do our inner healing work. In this cacao ceremony, we will enjoy a warm ceremonial cacao beverage while Giovanna shares about the lineage of cacao, stories, sacred songs, and a relaxing guided meditation to connect deeper with our hearts and emotions. Together, we amplify the expression of our intentions and transformation with the guidance of cacao medicine. Giovanna Garcia will be sharing Cacao Ceremony....

As human beings, in today’s modern world, we can’t loose sight that we are animals. The more we live our lives with the elements in mind, tuning into the rhythms of light and dark, adjusting to the seasons, connecting to nature, and creating habits that bring the body into balance, the more we can lower inflammation and create a life that includes health and vitality. Circadian habits are the habits of our ancestors and can be incorporated in our modern day lives. How and when we move, eat, sleep, breathe, and live all make up the whole of who we are and how well our body and spirit can function. We’ll dive into ancestral habits that are aligned with our biochemistry and hormonal system. The more we can...

This experiential workshop is designed to provide participants a space to address climate distress and to build resilience. Throughout the workshop you will experience embodied, connective exercises and guidance around a collective visioning forward. In the first half, we identify climate related feelings. Modeled after the climate cafe process, the intention is to bear witness to each other. We discuss ways to manage distress and navigate the complexity of this time. In part two we provide clear tools for building personal and community resilience. Some tools include the climate feelings wheel, climate aware interventions to navigate identified feelings, lifestyle and values alignment, and community support. We then go beyond coping skills to embody stepping into a regenerative Earth society. To close we will enjoy a group meditation...

What would you create if you were truly uninhibited in your process? Tapping into the infinite wellspring of creation means facing the repressive tones and imprints we carry about what it means to create and how we relate to creation and ourselves as creators. These become obstructions that our life force has to move through in order to express itself, which dilutes the potency of what is being birthed through us. It also causes us to reach too far outside of ourselves for inspiration, and our expression becomes an imitation of what already is instead of what is authentically ours. Together we will move through our inhibitions and rekindle the eternal flame of creation from within, while learning how to hold safe space for our fire to...

Singing is all about listening to the relationships seen and unseen around us all the time. In this workshop we will explore how to use the dreamtime to bring your own unique songs into the world. We will explore our relationship to songs and dreams through mini constellations. We will use constellation and dreamwork to connect to the ancestors we have that were song carriers. We will use the waking dream to listen to the songs coming through. And each person will leave with a dream practice they can take home to continue the connection between dreaming and singing. No singing, dreaming, or constellation experience is required. Constellation is a somatic group healing modality that allows us to look at systems at the energetic and soul...

COOLING THE CLIMATE WITH RAIN GARDENS: TRANSFORMING GARDENS INTO EARTH GUARDIANS Gather in celebration and honor for our sacred waters and activate the rewilding of your water resource footprint. Current communities are often built around quickly collecting, concentrating, and conveying away any unused water that comes into our land and home. Gaia does the opposite by slowing down water’s flow through holding, dispersion, infiltration, and reuse to maintain healthy ecosystems and their dependence on clean water for life. Learn how visible stormwater infrastructure and water conservation and recycling strategies allow us to live with the land in a way that simultaneously enhances planetary and societal health. While gathering, we will review the cycles of water on the planet and scale our focus smaller until we reach one accessible water system that has proven to be simple...

Humans have been making cordage for at least fifty thousand years. It has helped us to shape our world and to thrive in it. We twist fibers to create strength, length and beauty. It is indigenous to all cultures; as is the impulse to adorn ourselves. The process is simple and repetitive in a way that leaves room for conversation, laughter, and contemplation. What becomes available when physically exploring the metaphors of adornment and transformation with our hands? This is an opportunity to reflect, connect, share as our hands find the rhythm while making a necklace adornment. We will use worn fabrics to learn this ancient technique and create beauty from that which would otherwise be discarded. Folks will come away with an understanding of how to...

Fire is the life force of us all :: the Sun we revolve around, the hearth at the center of our homes, the lava core of our Earth, and the energy feeding all life on this planet. This being transforms and catalyzes life, story, and ritual. They are a profound spiritual teacher and source for endless lessons and growth. In this class you will learn how to build and sustain a fire from the landscape :: gathering wood, building a fire structure, and practicing both the bow drill and hand drill methods of friction fire. Through patient courtship and curiosity, we can call on the solar energy stored in our bodies and the bones of plant beings to create a flame and deepen our connection to...

What would your soul say to you, if you gave her the space to sing?. What would she sound like? What would she sing back to you? Songcrafting is an ancient practice to give an ode to the different realms; ancestral, earthly, cosmic, and so on. This workshop is an opportunity for you to enter into the portal of songwriting as a form of communication with your inner and outer world. You will learn how to craft your own song through your unique vessel, and add your soul's blueprint to the sonic archives. During this workshop, you will learn techniques for preparing your physical vessel, creating a cohesive storyline, the different elements of a song, weaving melody and rhythm, and listening to the environment around you...

Our voices and songs are deeply personal— and it is with good reason many of us have learned to hold them close. Still, many of us long for the freedom to share with ease— to let our songs and voices breath and grow. The limiting beliefs that have taught us to hide, live in our bodies. In this workshop, we will utilize practices inspired by somatic healing modalities such as Hakomi and IFS— to explore the body and our voices. We will work with our own internal barriers and beliefs to develop greater awareness, courage and freedom. Open to all regardless of self-identification as a musician, songwriter or artist. This work can be applied to any form of expressive freedom. Please note the workshop is focused on active...
