SKILLSHARE MOON

I am inspired to share the practice of mending as both a practical skill and a sacred tradition. For over a decade, I have been making and caring for handmade clothing designed to be cherished and repaired. Mending is more than fixing fabric—it is a practice of gratitude, stewardship, and presence, a way to honor the labor and materials that bring our clothing to life. In this workshop, students will learn hands-on techniques like hand-stitching, patching, and simple repairs. We will also touch on the philosophy of caring for what we wear and its connection to the earth. Participants should bring at least one garment in need of repair or patching. If you have one of my garments, this is a wonderful opportunity to mend it...

Nature Constellations is a gentle, embodied way of listening with the living world. Rather than working only with human family systems, we invite land, elements, weather, animals, and unseen forces to take their place in the field. Stones may speak, rivers may carry memory, wind may reveal timing. Through simple movement, witnessing, and resonance, what has been tangled finds a new order. Nature does not analyze. It remembers. And in that remembering, something in us comes back into right relationship.     Nature Constellations will be shared by Sarah MacLean Bicknell ...

My workshops are an invitation to learn the foundations of plant dye alchemy. Plant dyeing is the oldest way of capturing color on textiles and is used among many different cultures. In class, you’ll be able to witness the alchemical beauty of transforming undyed organic fibers into living color pieces. We will discuss and experiment with: mordants, fibers, plants to grow, plants to identify in your back yard, sustainability, sourcing, proper disposal, water, modifiers and resists. You’ll be guided through a step by step process of natural dyeing using various resist techniques to create texture, design, pattern, variation and allure. Utilizing a rainbow of colors extracted from flowers, trees, bugs, bark, leaves, food waste and minerals. This class will support your journey of walking in color...

Needle-Felted Medicine Dolls is a two-part ritual craft inviting women into the ancient practice of doll making as a form of healing, remembrance, and inner guidance. Long before dolls were toys, they were created as companions and protectors, shaped to reflect the inner world. Blending ceremony and intuitive making, participants will learn foundational needle-felting techniques, simple form building, and symbolic embellishment using wool and natural fibers. The repetitive, rhythmic nature of felting invites a calm, trance-like state that supports deep listening and presence. Rather than following a fixed pattern, participants are encouraged to move intuitively and allow the doll to reveal itself over the class. No previous felting experience is required. This offering welcomes patience, presence, play, and curiosity. Participants will leave with a completed doll imbued...

This workshop invites women to come home to their bodies through the transformative power of being photographed. It is a space where nudity becomes language rather than spectacle and where participants are invited to move, express and witness one another in a supportive, empowering community. To be photographed is to say: I exist, I matter, and I can take up space. The session includes a discussion on consent and intentions, guided group exercises for connection and self-reflection, and an artistic nude group photoshoot that explores embodiment, presence, and self-expression. The workshop concludes with reflection and integration, and participants receive a digital gallery of the images they helped create. Nude Embodiment Photo Workshop will be held by Liat Aharoni.  ...

Humans have been making cordage for at least fifty thousand years. It has helped us to shape our world and to thrive in it. We twist fibers to create strength, length and beauty. Cordage is accessible even to those who would not consider themselves artists or crafty- our hands can hold the memory. In this informal circle, folks are welcome to drop in and try their hands at this ancient technique or to continue with the cordage they have already begun. Just like an old fashioned quilting circle, it is an opportunity to sit with others- share, reflect, ask questions and to explore the process and form. Come away with an understanding of how to turn the materials in your life into beautiful and useful lengths of...

Women have been sitting in circles and crafting for centuries. During this class we will take a journey into the ancient techniques of weaving, where we will not only learn the skill but also discover the therapeutic benefits of working with natural materials. We will be using one of the oldest basket weaving techniques, coil weaving, to weave pine needle baskets. A style practiced by many people groups. This class will provide a supportive and collaborative environment, providing women with a space to share stories, connect, and celebrate the shared experience of creating art with nature's elements. Pine Needle Baskets will be offered by Rosie Hope, who is also offering Coal Burned Spoons....
