01 Jan Archana
Archana is a mover, singer, and facilitator who works at the intersection of voice, movement, and collective expression. With over two decades of training in classical Indian Carnatic music and 15 years in Kathak dance, her work is rooted in lineage, devotion, and embodied presence. Alongside this foundation, she brings extensive experience in vocal improvisation, circle singing, and free movement practices, having participated in and facilitated in many voice and movement spaces across the country.
A queer brown woman, Archana is deeply committed to creating inclusive environments where all bodies and voices are welcome. She has performed for over 25 years in concerts, musicals, and shows nationwide, writes and releases original music under her own name, and has taught workshops on songwriting, performance, creative process, and cultural awareness in music. Through her work, she invites people of all skill levels to reconnect with voice and movement as intuitive, playful, and deeply human practices.
Archana will be sharing Awakening your Vocal Body along with Anilee List.
