Anilee List is a vocal storyteller, facilitator, and passionate collaborator with over twenty years of performance experience. For the past five years, she has focused on holistic vocal coaching and leading community singing and circle-singing experiences rooted in connection, presence, and collective expression. She has shared her vocal improvisation and songwriting workshops across the United States, creating spaces where people can explore their voices as tools for healing, creativity, and belonging.
Anilee identifies as a cisgender, queer, white, Jewish woman, shaped by the streets of Brooklyn, the mountains of Vermont, and the beaches of Los Angeles. Her lineage is German-Irish and Ashkenazi Jewish (Russian-Polish), and singing in community lives deep in her bones. From Jewish
Niguns to Celtic folk songs, her people have gathered in song for generations to pray, celebrate, grieve, and make meaning together.
Anilee’s work honors the voice as both a personal and collective instrument, inviting participants to reconnect with themselves and one another through sound, story, and shared experience.
