31 Dec Shauna Kenealey
Shauna Kenealey is the mother of two fledgling daughters and a homebirth midwife for the last two decades.
Blending deep knowledge of physiology, nutrition and plant medicine, attunement with others, sacred ceremony and rites of passage; she provides an anchor in the liminal space of birth and the mothering journey.
Naturally curious, she loves to learn, teach, and discuss the power and potential of motherhood. She has created a model of nature-centric, relationship-based midwifery, with a deep commitment to supporting each woman’s choices.
Studying at Birthingway College of Midwifery in Portland and graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Midwifery (2008), she lovingly refers to Birthingway as the Hogwarts of Midwifery. Additionally, a Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and INNATE Postpartum Care Practitioner. She is an herbalist, forager, and lover of all things wild.
Mother’s Nature is her new project, an educational initiative to share knowledge and create community amongst mothers and birthworkers. Her teaching weaves together modern and ancient information, reflection, discussion, and plenty of time for Q&A.
