Laura Lopez will be sharing Traditional Loom Weaving from her Guatemalan hertitage. Laura began weaving and working with fiber when she was six years old, and has continued practicing her traditional ways since then. Laura uses gorgeous multicolored thread, and will help you learn how to use a traditional hand weaving loom. This is a hands on class with an opportunity to weave your very own piece of fabric to adorn yourself or another with. Laura weaves in her studio and bodega on Whidbey Island with her husband Carlos, daughter Estrella, and 2 dogs .
