Seva Application

Welcome! Thank you for your interest in applying to be a part of the sister seva for this year’s Spirit Weavers Gathering. Our seva sisters are essential to the magic, intention and feel of our gathering.  We are so grateful that you have been called to be in service to the sisterhood. Without you we could not make this the beautiful coming-together of the feminine heart that it is.

Applications will open from March 21st-April 1st.  If you are accepted as a seva, you will be asked to pay a $50.00 fee to ensure your dedication of your seva commitment.  PLEASE KNOW SEVA IS A COMMITMENT AND WE ASK THAT YOU ONLY APPLY IF YOU CAN FULFILL THESE ROLES.

You must be 18 and older to apply for a seva position.

We offer full seva positions, 25 hours of service, in exchange for the full cost of tuition. Responsibilities for the seva crew include everything from setup and breakdown to Kitchen Crew, decorating, helping with parking or registering attendees, grounds maintenance and bathroom cleanup, Information Booth, Keiki Camp, and the Tea House, as well as many other tasks to help the gathering flow smoothly.

This year we will continue with  the Sun and Moon Sessions to accommodate more women. If you fill out the application you will be asked which session you prefer to work, the Sun Session from June 15th-19th, the Moon Session from June 22nd-26th, or if you would like to work both sessions. Please know that the Seva commitment will be 8 days for one session (9 days for set up crew), or 16 days for both. (*If you choose to stay on the land between sessions and would like meals the fee is $75). All seva sisters are required to arrive on site by noon on the agreed upon start day, unless you’ve made other agreed upon arrangements with Seva Coordinators. If you have not arrived by 3pm on your start day your position will be forfeited.

This year all Seva will be meeting via Google Chat several times pre gathering with their hub coordinators to go over their tasks for their time with us.

You will need to find your own rides out to the land, and we are hoping most Spirit Weaver sisters will car pool or share rental cars.

You will be scheduled in primarily one work area during the gathering, though you might be asked to help in a number of other areas during setup and decorating and during breakdown and cleanup.  Therefore, we are looking for applicants who are flexible and able to do a variety of tasks.

Our vision is to have you be able to take classes and also be in service within the community. On the skillshare class days, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, your work hours for the day will probably be around 4 to 6 hours. That should leave space for one class each day, perhaps more. Please understand though that signing up for seva crew does mean missing out on some class time and other group activities. We ask that you trust in receiving what you need from your time at the gathering, letting go of expectations and flowing with what is needed to bring forth another beautiful Spirit Weavers Gathering.
