Herbalism Through the Senses

Herbalism Through the Senses

Lets gather in sacred circle to connect with medicine-making and getting to know our elders, the Plants. Through touch, taste, smell and the profound connection to their Spirit we will dive into the multi-layered practices of herbalism through the lens of care, respect and reciprocity.

In this class you’ll learn the importance of the Medicine Wheel as a guiding source for planting, foraging, harvesting, extracting constituents, tending and ritual, as well as how to differentiate the five flavors in herbs and what clues they have for us.
Through conscious herbalism you’ll learn how to respectfully approach and incorporate ancestral wisdom into our everyday lives and methods of extraction with water, oil, alcohol and wild vinegars to make well balanced, potent extracts.

As a facilitator I like to intertwine spirituality from my own healing journey, South American upbringing and herbalism training as a School of Gaia alumni and teacher.

Conscious medicine-making is an act of resistance and care for community, which allows us to achieve self sovereignty in the realms of healing, transcending patterns of hyper capitalism and consumerism.
This class is an invitation to experience holistic herbalism that touches every aspect of our lives and opens up a portal of remembrance, to connect with ancestral wisdom that lives in our DNA. For millennia the Plants have been our mentors and healers, our food and medicine, so in this circle we gather to honor our ancient connection to their teachings, song and spirit.
