28 Dec Needle-Felted Medicine Dolls
Needle-Felted Medicine Dolls is a two-part ritual craft inviting women into the ancient practice of doll making as a form of healing, remembrance, and inner guidance. Long before dolls were toys, they were created as companions and protectors, shaped to reflect the inner world.
Blending ceremony and intuitive making, participants will learn foundational needle-felting techniques, simple form building, and symbolic embellishment using wool and natural fibers. The repetitive, rhythmic nature of felting invites a calm, trance-like state that supports deep listening and presence. Rather than following a fixed pattern, participants are encouraged to move intuitively and allow the doll to reveal itself over the class.
No previous felting experience is required. This offering welcomes patience, presence, play, and curiosity. Participants will leave with a completed doll imbued with personal meaning and the energetic imprint of their inner medicine.
Needle-Felted Medicine Dolls will be taught by Amanda Ma.
