May Salem is the designer/ creative director and co-owner of NATIVE SOL and EARTHING. May is a multi-dimensional creative and a life long student of many crafts. One of her current specialty is jewelry making and sewing clothing for her brand and business with the emphasis of reconstructing vintage and upcycling or using only natural fibers. She is also a lover of textiles & weaving arts and earth based Ancestral skills.
Most of her creations are inspired by her culture, sustainability, textiles, personal lifestyle, and community. She host workshops, special events, and gatherings at her brick and mortar shop in Long Beach , CA. May is also a mama of 6 homebirth babies and truly integrates all aspect of her work & creativity into her “lifestyle shop”.
