Mary Sheila Gonnella is devoted to helping people take control of their health and live their fullest lives. As a Board-Certified Holistic Nutritionist, Wahls Certified Practitioner, and Ayurvedic educator, she provides personalized guidance, empowering her clients and students to make lasting changes that support vitality and balance.
For seven years, Mary Sheila taught at Bauman College Holistic Nutrition and Culinary Arts, earning a reputation as an inspiring and impactful instructor. One student reflected, “Mary Sheila is one of the best teachers I’ve encountered in all of my studies. She not only teaches with passion but embodies the principles she shares from the depth of her being.”
Her dedication to health education stems from her own journey of discovery and healing. Over the years, she has developed expertise in practical tools like fermenting, herbalism, basketry, wildcrafting, and sustainable food practices, alongside her deep understanding of nutrition and Ayurvedic principles.
Mary Sheila combines her vast knowledge with a practical and approachable teaching style, creating a uniquely supportive experience for her clients and students. She runs a private nutrition practice and leads transformative online programs, including The Vitality Club, Blood Sugar Reset, Your Roadmap to Bone Health, and Edible Ayurveda (with DeAnna Batdorff). Her passion for teaching makes complex health concepts accessible and actionable, consistently leading her clients to transformative and sustainable outcomes.
Mary Sheila lives in Occidental, West Sonoma County with her husband, daughter, and son in law, where she tends to her gardens, and loves long walks on the Sonoma Coast.
