11 Jan Hanna Leigh
Hanna Leigh has been leading people in song since the age of twelve, beginning with joining the worship band at her church. Though the flavors of connection to divinity are ever-evolving in her life, the heart of inspiration remains — to offer our voices in reverence, joy, and reciprocity for this gift of life.
She loves to gather people in song wherever she travels. The last several years have called her to lead larger song circles at festivals and gatherings on the West Coast, and to gather smaller groups in her home in the Columbia Gorge of Oregon. Her circles are a beautiful blend of light-hearted humor and deeply heartfelt moments of basking in the nourishment of co-created sound.
Hanna Leigh sees song as food, as medicine, and as a powerful tool for healing and transformation. She is devoted to “opening pathways of healing through the intelligence of sound”, and is passionate about singing together as a form of re-membering our belonging to ourselves, the earth and each other. A growing part of her work is to guide people deeper into their own channel of song, through one-on-one work. She has co-created two albums, including original songs, and is currently gestating a third.
Hanna Leigh will be sharing Singing Our Belonging.
