Embrace your inner granny and learn the timeless handicraft of crochet. Together, we’ll honor the crafty folks in our lineages and share stories of those who taught or inspired us to make things with our hands.
We’ll begin with a brief history of the Granny Square and its role in crochet culture, then move into hands on learning. Participants will be guided through a few beginner friendly crochet stitches and supported step-by-step as they create a classic granny square. Along the way, we’ll slow down, stitch with intention, and infuse each knot with personal dreams and creative energy.
By the end of the class, you’ll have a granny square you can turn into a mug cozy or take home to continue transforming into something entirely your own. We’ll end our time together by sharing a cozy mug of tea.
All skill levels welcome.
Children under 13 may benefit from attending with a supportive adult to help complete the project.
