04 Jan Fly Casting
Fly casting is more than just a technical skill — it’s a practice in presence, rhythm, and trust in your own movement.
In this welcoming, beginner-friendly class, participants will be introduced to the foundations of fly casting in a supportive, low-pressure environment designed specifically for women. Whether you’re completely new to fly fishing or looking to refine your cast, this session will focus on building confidence, understanding the mechanics of an efficient cast, and finding flow through repetition and feel rather than force.
We’ll break down the cast step-by-step, explore common challenges, and work one-on-one to help each participant develop a casting style that feels natural to them. No prior experience is required, and all gear can be provided.
This class is rooted in inclusivity, patience, and empowerment — creating space for curiosity, questions, and growth. By the end of the session, you’ll leave with practical casting skills, a deeper connection to the water, and the confidence to keep exploring fly fishing on your own terms.
Fly Fishing will be taught by Shelan Scout Boyes.
