29 Dec Birth: Reclaiming our Feminine Rite of Passage
Inside this class, we explore birth as both a biological dance between mother and baby and a sacred rite of passage, one that is designed to strengthen a woman’s intuition, trust, and inner capacity.
Before the medicalized model of birth took hold, childbirth was honored as a woman’s rite of passage: a journey into the deepest parts of oneself. It was prepared for, prayed over, and held with reverence.
Women are being called to remember this rite today, as birth is the first imprint our children have with the physical world & an experience that invites us to trust our inner knowing over external authority.
In this class, we will explore how to prepare the physical body, mind, and spirit for birth. We will also walk through the holistic stages of labor, understanding birth not as a linear process, but as a journey much like a vision quest – cyclical, intuitive & transformative.
The female body is exquisitely designed to support this process, producing powerful pain-relieving hormones while the brain shifts into altered states of consciousness. This wisdom was once passed from generation to generation, yet much of it has been lost as modern society has forgotten the spiritual significance of birth.
You will leave this class with a deeper reverence for your female body and a renewed trust in the innate design of birth.
Haley Nichole will be sharing Birth: Reclaiming our Feminine Rite of Passage.
