Beeswax Candles & Sacred Space

Beeswax Candles & Sacred Space

This workshop centers on the traditional practice of hand-dipping beeswax candles. A slow, rhythmic process that has long been part of hearth life and seasonal preparation. Working with warm beeswax and cotton wicks, we’ll build candles layer by layer.

As we dip, we’ll talk about why beeswax has been used for generations in the home: how natural materials affect indoor air and atmosphere, how light shapes mood and the nervous system, and how everyday acts of care carry lineage and create story. We’ll explore the role of the sacred feminine in the home through practical gestures and shaping spaces that support family health and well-being.

Participants will leave with their own hand-dipped beeswax candles and a grounded understanding of how this simple craft can support a healthier, more storied home.

Amanda Rickenbach will be teaching Beeswax Candles & Sacred Space
