Alex Tomb

Hey, I’m Alex. I’m a wilderness guide, an ancestral skills practitioner, an ecologist and a sister. Born with a soul that wants to eat the world, I move between adventure and sanctuary with equal devotion. I’ve worked alongside equine veterinarians and volunteered on farms around the world – with each adventure I discover how my heart comes most alive through the ancient, land-based ways of my ancestors.

My truest education has come from dirt under my fingernails, working with, learning from, and singing to hides, and deep immersion in wild places. I am deeply drawn to matriarchal wisdom, indigenous knowledge, and sacred sexuality teachings that honor pleasure as a pathway to our innate power. I work to weave my life in ways that deepen my connection to land, animals, and community.

I’ve experienced how transformation happens through embodied experience, whether by leading expeditions, practicing ancestral skills, exploring the intersection of biology and spirit, or taking part in ecstatic tantric rituals on epic women’s retreats. Through working with my hands and heart, I am coming home to my inherent belonging in this wild world. I am currently weaving my path toward wildlife storytelling and conservation work while tying in the threads of hide tanning as a practice of reverence, patience, and transformation.

I am deeply grateful to each mentor and teacher along my path, and I can’t wait to share what I’ve learned so far.

Alex will be sharing a fat + smoke-tanned sheepskin class.
