05 Jan A String and A Prayer
A String and a Prayer is a sacred, hands-on workshop rooted in ritual, remembrance, and heart-led creation. Guided by Rev. Jolene Star., weavers are invited into the ancient practice of intentional adornment where beads and gems become prayers, string becomes ceremony, and the act of making becomes a living meditation.
This class honors adornment as a spiritual language found across cultures: used for protection, devotion, grief, celebration, and soul remembrance. Through storytelling, gentle guidance, and ritual space-holding, Rev. Jolene invites participants to slow down, listen deeply, and allow their hands to follow the wisdom of the heart.
Each participant will be guided to set intentions, work with breath and prayer, and create a personal piece infused with meaning-whether for themselves, an ancestor, a beloved, or a threshold moment in their life. No prior experience is needed; this is not about technique, but about presence and radical devotion in a world that asks for strength and graceful perseverance.
A String and a Prayer is especially for those longing to reconnect with using their hands as an offering of love, ritual beauty, and the quiet magic of making with prayer in mind. Rooted in reverence for all religions and spiritual traditions, this practice honors magic as sacred and miracles as everyday companions-waiting to be recognized, named, and gently woven into form.
Together, we weave devotion into practice-one bead, one breath, one prayer at a time.
Come as you are. Leave adorned and radically shifted, tools in tow. Love is The Message.
Rev. Jolene Star will be sharing A String and A Prayer: The Ceremonial Practice of Adornment, Intention and Radical Devotion.
