Handmade Cavatelli & Traditional Sauce: A Pasta Workshop from the Italian Alps
Join us for a cozy, hands-on pasta-making class inspired by the alpine village of Lanzada, nestled in the heart of Northern Italy. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to make cavatelli from scratch—a rustic, ridged pasta that beautifully holds sauce—just as my auntie taught me growing up in our family kitchen.
We’ll begin with a brief history of pasta and its regional roots, then dive into crafting fresh dough, shaping the pasta, and preparing a simple, traditional sauce using classic Italian ingredients. Afterward, we’ll gather around the table to enjoy the fruits of our labor together.
Whether you’re new to pasta-making or looking to deepen your connection to Italian culinary traditions, this class will leave you full—of both knowledge and delicious food.
Traditional Pasta Making will be taught by Moorea Masa.
