Devotional Yoniflower Painting

Devotional Yoniflower Painting

Create a devotional painting using earth pigments that honors the power of your Yoni. Participants will be guided to paint a representation of a Yoni on a pice of wood that they can place on their altar as a sacred totem. “Yoni” is a Sanskrit word which translates as Divine Portal, and refers to the female reproductive system (womb, vulva and vagina). This art project encourages exploration of your relationship to your Yoni, and provides an opportunity for deep healing.

Our devotional Yoni painting will be created using earth pigments mixed with gum from the acacia tree as a binder. We will paint upon rounds of wood prepared with rabbit skin glue, which is a traditional surface treatment that dates back thousands of years. We create from the foundational understanding that all women are artists. All levels of painting experience are welcome. Your instructor will support you in finding you own creative voice. Individual expression and playfulness is encouraged.

Devotional Yoniflower Painting will be shared by Gabrielle Wildheart.
