Healing Water: Cultivating Your Land as a Living Altar

Healing Water: Cultivating Your Land as a Living Altar

Step into a sacred relationship with water and discover how to transform your land into a living altar for Gaia’s healing. In this workshop, we’ll explore the many ways to honor and manage water on your land—rain gardens, graywater systems, pervious pavements, rain tanks, and more — transformative tools that mimic nature’s design to protect from drought and flooding, invite native flora and pollinators to thrive, and bring our own lives into a closer relationship with Earth’s waters.
Weaving the science of water cycles with the art of earth connection, we will learn how to hold, infiltrate, reuse, and celebrate water on our land that nourishes both planet and spirit. Feel the textures of soil, water, and natural materials as we explore hands-on techniques that bring these sacred designs to life. Ask questions specific to your land – share photos, challenges, and desires – and receive collective wisdom for your needs.
Take home a reminder of what you’ve learned by making a personal rain gauge — a symbolic and practical tool for honoring and managing water’s presence in your life. Rain gauges allow us to witness water’s flow and our place in its cycles.
Tending water with sacred water-wise tools is an act of reciprocity to the Earth for the sources of life she offers us.
Leave inspired and empowered to build a deeper relationship with water, embracing it as both a sacred element and a powerful force for climate rebalance, where landscapes are not just beauty, but integral spaces of support to Earth’s needs while still acknowledging our own. What role will you play in healing Earth’s waters? Join us in dancing in the dawn of a new water culture!
