20 Apr Julia Wagoner
As a master bead weaver and designer of distinctive beaded art wear, Julia Wagoner has been an artist all of her life. She began beadwork at fourteen years of age, after receiving her first bead loom, which she still uses. Julia is self-taught and has made up her own techniques and applications, utilizing micro beads, the smallest beads in the world.
Having graduated from New York University with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Julia has been expressing her artistic visions through intricate bead design since 1981. She is primarily self-taught. After an extensive study in textiles such as weaving tapestries, and crocheting hand spun and natural dyed wool, Julia moved into beadwork as her primary medium. She has a love for seed beads and now specializes in pictorial and custom beadwork.
Julia Wagoner will be teaching beaded pouches.
