Sound Celebration

Our Sound Celebration is one of the most beloved parts of the gathering. A reminder that music and vibration are ancient forms of connection, carried through time by every culture and community.

From our fire circles, where songs and stories rise into the night, to singing bowl sound baths that ripple through the body, to DJ-guided dance journeys and acoustic performances that soften the soul, we gather in the shared language of sound.

Illuminated by the stars, we listen, move, and remember that sound is not only heard, but felt.
Together, we celebrate the way music weaves us back to ourselves, to one another, to our ancestors, and to the living rhythm of the Earth and sky.

At the Gathering you can find many classes offered that celebrate the power of sound, such as singing classes, drumming workshops, dance, and more. On Friday night we gather for our fireside Song Circle, a special experience where all are invited to offer their voices together, sharing new and old songs, all while honoring where they come from.  We also come together on Saturday for our  Sound Celebration,  a night of acoustic musical performances to honor and uplift our community through the power of sharing voice & sound. Then, on Sunday Night we come together to dance it all out with a DJ performance as the sun sets and the moon rises. All of our musicians and DJ’s are mindfully selected and invited with intention of their artistry harmonizing with the Collective’s song.

All of these curated offerings honor our shared understanding of the power of sound. We invite you to bring your own instruments and share your voice in song throughout the weekend, between classes, during meals, and around the fire. Since the beginning of humanity, sound and song have served as guiding and healing forces, carrying us through joy, grief, connection, and remembrance. At Spirit Weavers, we hold this ancient power in deep reverence and celebration, as it continues to weave us together in harmony.

Born in Worcestershire, UK, and raised in Aotearoa, New Zealand, Ny Oh is now based in Topanga Canyon, Los Angeles. Despite being early in her career, she’s already taken on a range of high-profile musical projects. She fronts the eccentric jazz outfit Neon Gru, has toured the world as a backing vocalist and multi-instrumentalist for Harry Styles’s record-breaking stadium shows, and has collaborated with artists like Margo Price and Madison Cunningham.

As a solo artist, her work has earned praise from NME, Rolling Stone, BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music, and more. For an Aotearoa artist, listening to nature is of godly importance, and Ny Oh’s connectedness with it is something that feels as effortless as her poetic songwriting style. Nature teaches you the “art of waiting”, and though Ny Oh has spent her adult life exploring various ways of spiritual existence, nature has always been her way of connecting with the depths of the world. Now, after years of quiet observation and creative exploration, she has shared her debut album, Wildwood, a body of work to reflect this journey.

Hannah Mayree (they/them) is an artist and musician whose work as a banjoist, multi-instrumentalist, producer and vocalist has been a historic excavation of folk music as well as a window into the future of folk. Hannah has a body of work that highlights original and traditional banjo compositions as well as harmonies through acoustic live vocal looping and involves audiences in community singing.

On the dawn of releasing their second studio album following the 2017, Thoughts of the Night, Hannah’s evolution as a musician has included holding down solo performances as well as duo, trio and full band configurations and highlights both the Black string and tradition as well as innovating between genres, expressing the conditions of our world and sparking change through culturally stewarded experiences they curate for music loving communities.

They founded and creatively direct the Black Banjo Reclamation Project which is currently creating musical, cultural and land-based opportunities for Black, Afro-Diasporic communities around the world to work with the banjo as a tool for reclaiming ancestral wisdom & creating Afro-futures.

Hanna Leigh Van Tatenhove (Hah-nah-LAY) is a singer, earth devotee, and lifelong student of the unseen threads that weave through this human experience. Raised in California and shaped by time spent in Oregon and Maui, her path has been one of listening deeply — to the land, to the body, and to the subtle movements of spirit. She is currently on an extended ancestral pilgrimage through the British Isles, connecting with the stones, stories, and ancient wisdom of her lineage.

Since her early twenties, Hanna has walked an unconventional path that has led her through many forms of study and service, including Kundalini yoga, massage therapy with a focus on abdominal and pelvic care, birth and postpartum support, organic farming, and life as a touring musician. Through it all, two threads have remained steady: her love for singing and her devotion to the Earth.

For Hanna, singing is a practice of presence and remembrance — a way to listen inward, to give voice to what is moving within, and to weave emotion, story, and spirit into sound. Her songs are offerings to the beauty and complexity of life, to the living world around us, and to the quiet, ongoing healing unfolding on this Earth. She approaches her voice as both a mirror and a vessel, in service to connection, truth, and the great repair.

Courtney Marie Andrews is an American singer-songwriter known for her deeply emotive voice and introspective songwriting. Born in Phoenix, Arizona, she began performing and recording music at a young age, developing a sound rooted in folk, country, and Americana traditions. Over the years, she has earned widespread recognition for her ability to capture vulnerability, longing, and resilience in her work.

Her breakthrough album Honest Life (2016) marked a turning point in her career, followed by critically acclaimed releases including May Your Kindness Remain (2018), Old Flowers (2020), and Loose Future (2022). Old Flowers received a Grammy nomination for Best Americana Album and was praised for its intimate portrayal of heartbreak and healing.

With a voice that carries both strength and tenderness, Andrews continues to tour internationally, sharing songs that explore love, loss, and the human condition. Her music resonates for its honesty, poetic depth, and timeless connection to the roots of American songwriting.

Born and raised in Northern California, Winter Jendayi is a ceremonialist, musician, mentor, and guide devoted to holding sacred spaces for healing, transformation, and awakening. Her path is rooted in the Red Road teachings of the Seven Directions and the wisdom of her ancestral lineages, carrying African and Cherokee heritage through her father’s line and Celtic and Italian ancestry through her mother. She is a Moon Dancer, Sahumadora, and Pipe Carrier within the Metztliyoliliztli Danza in Costa Rica, where she has been in deep study and prayer since 2014. Given the Nahuatl name Koskatlan, “the woman who weaves her life,” Winter’s work reflects this weaving of traditions, ancestry, and lived experience.

Music is the heartbeat of Winter’s life, and sacred song is central to her offerings. Her debut album, Hilos Sagrados (2022), is a collection of original songs born from her journey of healing, remembrance, and prayer — an ancestral offering that honors the threads of her path. Alongside her ceremonial work, Winter is an experienced yoga teacher (E-RYT, 700-hour training), having studied in India, California, and Guatemala, bringing an intuitive and integrative approach to movement and embodiment.

Deeply connected to the cycles of life, Winter also walks the path of birthwork as a spiritual doula, offering support rooted in traditional and decolonized practices. Through all that she shares, she weaves together ceremony, song, movement, and care in service to collective healing and remembrance.

Naia & Phoebe

Naia and Phoebe are lifelong friends whose connection began at the 2015 Spirit Weavers Gathering, when they were just 5 and 6 years old. Since then, they have grown up alongside the Gathering, returning each year as their bond and their creative spirits continue to deepen. Their friendship is rooted in play, curiosity, and a shared love for the magic that Spirit Weavers holds.

When they’re not surfing, painting, making ceramics, or thrifting for treasures, you’ll likely find them with guitars in hand. Music has been a steady and joyful thread in both of their lives, offering a space for expression, connection, and fun.

They are so excited to share a few songs this year, bringing their voices and friendship to the Spirit Weavers stage in a heartfelt offering of sound and connection.

Meet Our Sound Team

Sound Technician : Brenna Manzare

Brenna is an audio engineer, DJ, entrepreneur, gardener, singer songwriter, seamstress, and crafter across mediums. She first learned to play with sound at Texas State University where she majored in music with a focus on sound recording technology. Her love of singing and playing guitar corrupted her in the eyes of mainstream society early on, setting her on a path quite at odds with her pedestrian beginnings in the suburbs of Dallas/Fort Worth. On account of the amount of personal resources that a dream of playing music demands, Brenna was drawn to a life of finding creative ways to make money. Through the years she has been a live sound engineer, a pedicabber, a bus driver, a seamstress, a glass bottom boat captain, a lemur, a rhinestone specialist at a local chainstitch shop.
In 2017, she started an event production business called ‘Your Silent Disco,’ through which she rents silent disco headphones and DJs private events. When she is not spinning TikTok hits at dog birthday parties and bar mitzvahs, she can be found in her garden, tending to her heirloom peppers and cut flowers.

Brenna will be lending a hand with all things audio engineering and sound projection at this year’s Moon Session.
