Written Into Being: A Collective Zine and Poetry Workshop
What does it mean that in the beginning was the word?
Together, we will explore this concept through meditating on the writings of authors such as Sandra Cisneros, Lucille Clifton, Nikki Giovanni, Joseph Campbell, Clarissa Pinkola Estes and others.
We will explore origin stories, as well as personal and collective mythologies and examine how the words we craft lay the foundation for the beings we embody.
Participants will read poems that will guide them through the writing of their own poetry, which will then be converted into works of art for their zine submission.
