I am a life-long artist and dreamer trained by renowned dream teacher Robert Moss, creator of Active Dreaming. In many traditional and indigenous cultures, dreaming was a vital source of survival information, spiritual guidance, connection to the ancestors, and a source of inspiration and contact with the spirit world. These profound practices are simple and easy-to-learn, and can help anyone explore the messages their dreams are sending and bring back practical information for daily life.
My name, Tenaya, means “she who dreams” or “dreamer of wisdom” in the Ahwahnechee language of the people who lived in the valley of Yosemite, and it has always felt like my calling. My parents chose this name for me, and they nurtured my interest in dreams and art since I was a little girl. Over the years I have immersed myself in the study of shamanism, as well as other world wisdom, magic and folk healing traditions.
As an artist and small business owner, I have drawn inspiration and guidance from my dreams, and it’s my passion and calling to help people access and use this source of authentic imagery, magic and inspiration to bring forth their unique gifts in the world.
