Sydney Bliss is a mother’s chef, postpartum doula, author of companion journals for the menstrual cycle and postpartum season, & founder of postpartum meal delivery service, Milky Oat. Sydney is based in Fairfax, California where she tends to her backyard farm abundant in fruit trees, a kitchen garden, and a small squad of chickens. Her relationship to the natural world informs the work that she shares with her community. Her food philosophy is simple. She sources all ingredients locally, seasonally, and ethically and prepares them in ways that are most easily digested and assimilated by the body in natural clay and cast-iron cookware. She’s certified as a lactation coach, Ayurvedic Postpartum Doula, and as a teacher of many yoga modalities with the intention to nourish motherhood. After years of working intimately with her clientele, Milky Oat was realized to offer more mothers restorative nourishment at once. Lover of herbs, plant medicine, self-care practices, cooking & eating, and observing the cycles within and around us, Sydney offers non-prescriptive, inclusive, and personalized sessions for envisioning the postpartum experience.
