Singing Our Belonging

Singing Our Belonging

Singing together!—this simple, ancient technology—allows our bodies to vibrate with the remembrance of our belonging and interconnectedness. The container of this class is a space to experience and bask in this deep nourishment.
Come and learn a bundle of group harmony songs which feed our connection to ourselves, our ancestors, and each other. This is an opportunity to sing our own healing into being, and to sing our reciprocity and gratitude for the beautiful land of Cedar Bloom that holds our gathering, as well as for the greater living earth.
Hanna Leigh’s circles are a beautiful blend of light-hearted humor and heartfelt depth.
Along with learning group harmony songs, we’ll explore several fun (and non-intimidating) improvisational exercises designed to delight and remind us of how naturally intuitive the human singing voice is, and how naturally we can harmonize with each other. Simple, take-home, vocal warm-up techniques will also be taught to support your individual singing practice.
All singing “levels” are welcome, and those with a propensity for percussion are welcome to bring drums and/or rattles to help keep the beat.
This is a supportive space to feel the goodness of your voice as it vibrates through your body, in relation to the whole.
