21 Dec Relaxing the Root
We’ll travel through the connection between receptivity, healing, the pelvic floor and our inherent ability to receive and feel resourced. We’ve all been taught to suck in the belly, hold the breath and to close our roots, preventing us from our natural born right to nourish through nature. Our animal bodies know how to self-correct in the absence of tension. There’s a natural alignment that begins from the root up. Relaxing the vagina, anus and pelvic floor muscles allows stability, serenity & sovereignty in the body.
Things we will weave into this class:
ANUS & ANS: The autonomic nervous system (ANS) is what controls our smooth muscle tissue (of which the anus, as well as the vagina, uterus, eyes, and more special places are made of)
Transforming the embodied experience through somatic awareness
Tension in the pelvic floor can lead to prolapse of the uterus & bladder, as well as other reproductive health issues
Techniques to release tension in the pelvic floor
Playfully & genuinely explore the broad implications of relaxing our buttholes
