Oil Tanned Salmon skins

In this class we will be turning salmon skins into durable, beautiful leather using only olive oil, eggs, and soap. Salmon leather has been used for clothing, shoes, and bags by people across Eurasia and the Northern Pacific since time immemorial. This method can be used on a wide variety of fish species and can be easily repeated at home to create a totally organic, non-toxic leather.

Oil Tanned Salmon Skins will be co shared by Shannon Pritchard and Bethany Ridenour
