23 Dec Navigating toxic co-parenting situations
Co-parenting is rarely easy but when you are in a toxic co-parenting situation it can be even more difficult. Attempting to create an environment where both parents play a role in the children’s development is thought to be the best way to ensure their needs are met and enable them to retain close relationships with both parents. Research suggests that the quality of the relationship between co-parents can also have a strong influence on the mental and emotional well-being of children, and incidence of anxiety and depression. Unfortunately, putting aside relationship issues, especially after an unfriendly split, to co-parent agreeably is sometimes easier said than done. During this session, we will convene in a healing circle to share our own co-parenting experiences, talk through a variety of approaches to help navigate a toxic co-parenting situation and create healing outlooks for a positive future for us and our children.
Navigating toxic co-parenting situations will be shared by Tiffany Wilburn.
