Namiko Uno

Namiko Uno (she/they) is a a politicized somatic coach and somatic bodyworker. They are passionate about embodied transformation, liberation, and living a joyful life in service to Spirit. Namiko identifies as a bi-racial, cis gender, queer woman of color, with white-passing and currently able-bodied privileges based on unceded Ohlone land (Oakland, California). Namiko’s approach to embodied transformation is deeply informed by the interplay of trauma, somatics, spirit, social justice, and systems change. Her personal and professional lineages hold many contradictions and have evolved within the context of systemic oppression and inequity; she seeks to hold these contradictions with care and honor their complexities.

She is a certified somatic coach through Strozzi Institute and the International Coaching Federation. Namiko is also on the teaching team at Strozzi Institute, and holds a MA in Gender Studies, a BS in Ethnic Studies, Psychology, and Communication, and a 300-hr RYT in vinyasa, restorative yoga, yin yoga, and yoga nidra. Her somatic offerings are available at https://www.namikouno.com
