19 Dec Morena Cardoso
Morena Cardoso is a Brazilian woman who carries in her veins the bittersweet medicine of a Latin American artist who challenges the patriarchal and colonial structures by weaving ancient wisdom and contemporary issues.
In her life as a pilgrim, she began her search for herself after seeing her own reflection in the peoples from several cultures and ethnicities around the world. During more than a decade journeying through ancient wisdoms, sacred sites, and native communities, Morena witnessed different ways of life, myths, beliefs, symbols, customs, and rituals, observing different ways to relate with the psychic universe, the nature, the body, and the woman-becoming.
This process of deconstruction and creation of new subjectivities resulted in what today she presents as DanzaMedicina: an experimental practice that visits a dozen countries around the world in the form of workshops, retreats, conferences and invites women to remove their masks, face their fears, and embrace their shadows, towards their wild and sacred feminine essence.
Morena Cardoso will be facilitating Latin America Women’s Circle: Healing wounds towards conscious activism and DanzaMedicina- The organless body.
