12 May Milla Prince
The Daughters of Baba Yaga
Baba Yaga is an ancient deity, Nature spirit, and most recently the archetypal witch of Slavic and Finno-Ugric folklore. In this class we will delve into working with this ancestral deity in a modern way, talk about Old Ways medicine in a new age paradigm, and slow down to the pace of firelight story nights of our forebears. We will explore the non-linear medicine and teachings of dreams, intuitions, plants, and stories. (Attendees do not need to have Slavic, Finno-Ugric etc. ancestry to participate in the class. Many of the offerings of the class apply to engaging with Old Ways from other cultural backgrounds.)
Bring a candle, a cup of tea, something to burn that is ANCESTRAL to their lineage. (Culinary herbs, black tea, Mugwort and Mullein are good ideas to offer to Baba Yaga). If you have zero experience with Baba Yaga I do recommend reading up on some folk tales. Bring a notebook if you’d like.
