Menstrual Cycle Fundamentals

Menstrual Cycle Fundamentals

This is the health class we all wish we’d had in school. The menstrual cycle is the 5th vital sign of the female body and it’s time it gets the respect it deserves. We’ll discuss how the menstrual cycle works from a physiological and emotional standpoint, the four phases of the menstrual cycle, what a healthy menstrual cycle looks and feels like, and how to tell when something is amiss. It’ll also include a thorough discussion of the cervix, cervical fluid, and when you can & cannot get pregnant.

This class is required if you’d like to take Charting for Natural Birth Control or Charting for Conception, as it forms the foundation of body literacy. While this class is focused on the female reproductive system, I make every effort to make the class as gender inclusive as possible by using gender neutral and anatomical names for body parts and processes. It’s recommended to bring a notebook and something to write with, but not required.

Menstrual Cycle Fundamentals will be shared by Vienna Farlow.
