This class is a journey within the depths of our being. A magical channeling of our highest self via a visit to our inner child. Together we visit and connect to our inner all-knowing self, and we remember who she is and the power she brings, making strong bonds that will end in making a doll, together, in representation of your intuition. This doll becomes a sacred companion.
Healing thru dollmaking is found in ancestral traditions around the globe, what I share stems from traditional Caribbean faceless ragdoll craftsmanship, and all patterns are original.
This is an “all day” ( or 2 blocks) class, we learn basic hand stitches that will benefit for life and each participant will be making a 14 inch custom doll to take home, along with patterns and a guide to keep making dolls. We use all natural materials and botanical dyes.
All materials included and (optional) participants interested in this class are encouraged to bring any extra special fabrics, trinkets and/or amulets and prayers they would like to add to their doll.
