20 Dec Maybell Eequay
Maybell Eequay is a mixed indigenous beader, artist, jewelry maker, and activist. Born in Mni Sota and raised in her (occupied) tribal territory, Anishinaabe aki, Maybell has always found a deep connection to the land and waters that raised her. Her main teacher in life and spirit is her mother, Robyn, who has been passing on skills to her since she was a little kid. Maybell credits all of her knowledge and inspiration to her mom.
Maybell Eequay will be sharing Beading as Medicine and Conversations Around Cultural Appropriation.
