10 Dec Labyrinth construction
In this day long class we will learn to draw a 7 circuit Cretan Labyrinth and learn to create a semi-permanent large scale labyrinth on the land. We’ll discuss the history and uses of labyrinths, and different methods for construction (we will be using river rocks from the land for ours). I’ve used rope, electrical tape, LED tea lights and just lines in the sand to create a labyrinth. Labyrinths have been used for centuries as meditation tools, as metaphor for birth and other life events, as healing tools, creativity enhancement and many others.
We will also have time for a walking meditation in our finished labyrinth. Please bring a journal. I’m providing solar fairy lights to light the labyrinth at night.
Labyrinth construction will be shared by Sandra Farmer
