Gabrielle Tesfaye is a multidimensional artist versed in painting, film, stop motion animation, puppetry and interactive installation art. Tesfaye uses the body as vessel to personify ancestral, emotional, and celestial forces, transforming ancient symbolism into contemporary languages and consciousness. When installed, her work creates narratives together through her larger than life puppets used to bridge literature, visuals and music together. Exhibiting her work from Chicago, New York, Dublin, London, and Thailand, Tesfaye is traveling artist driven to honour her role as global citizen, vowed to reconnecting people through art to the Sacred and ancestral healing.
Gabrielle Tesfaye will be co-teaching with Giselle Buchanan in Prayers, Chants and Lamentations.
