14 Dec Fiber Spinning
Our ancestors have been spinning for thousands of years, with materials that are all around us – in the stalks of plants, and the fur of animals, even the cocoons of insects. Spinning is a process of transforming raw fibers into strong and elegant threads, from which there are limitless possibilities of what we may create. As we work with our hands and spindles to transform fibers, we also work with our stories – spinning tales of transformation. Together we will spin, share, and create a collaborative woven piece with our first spun threads.
Fiber-Spinning will be taught by Shannon Pritchard.
