20 Dec Fiber Spinning
Our ancestors have been spinning for thousands of years, with materials that are all around us – in the stalks of plants, and the fur of animals, even the cocoons of insects.
Fiber Spinning is a process of transforming raw fibers into strong and elegant threads, from which there are limitless possibilities of what we may create. . . clothing, shelter, adornments.
As we work with our hands and spindles to transform fibers, we also work with our stories – spinning tales of transformation. Together we will spin, share, and be creating a collaborative woven piece with our first spun threads.
Fiber Spinning will be shared by Shannon Pritchard.
