29 Dec Diana Nadeau
Diana Nadeau is a multi-racial, Autistic, Nonbinary, single parent to a Queer young adult with hidden disabilities. With decades of lived experience within systems of oppression, Diana has been led to right livelihood as an Equity-informed mediator, Conflict Resolution consultant, Cultural and Linguistic Competence trainer within Special Education Dispute Resolution, and an IFS practitioner for coupled and Autistic people. Diana’s ancestral roots lie deep in Syrian-Lebanese, Sami-Swedish, Scottish Gale, and Welsh soil, a mixed heritage weaving the fabric of Diana’s experience as a gentle caretaker of all things land and sea. Diana’s legacy is rife with grounded, wise, beautiful-hearted, and strong ancestors, their blood a menstruum carrying inner wisdom, communal mindset, and strong volition to persevere despite grave challenges. Diana has been blessed with many non-ancestral teachers and mentors: two Indigenous Medicine Women each with their own traditions, started Diana on an incredible journey of self-reconciliation; Master Alfred Huang, who taught Diana great lessons of balance and acceptance in the way of Tao; H.E. Ayang Rinpoche, an Indigenous Tibetan high-lama and Diana’s heart-teacher, who has provided Diana with extensive training and practice since 2010 and gave Diana permission to teach Tibetan meditation and spiritual thought; Gerry, Diana’s sweetheart of the Nehiyaw tribe, and a precious friend, Amy- both brilliant wisdom keepers who generously mentor Diana in ways beyond comprehension. All of these six precious beings have at one time or another met Diana on the level of an oppressed, undiagnosed Autistic and Nonbinary person. In their kindness, these teachers and mentors have taught Diana the ways and traditions of spirit healing, Moon Lodge, and ancestral reclamation, and helped to forge pathways to remembering and honoring True Nature for the benefit of all beings.
Diana will be sharing Mindful of Queerness
