Community DeathCare, Advocacy and Grief
This class will explore the role of community members in spreading a greater understanding of a family’s rights and options when facing end of life. We will demystify home death care, the law and safety concerns while elevating the power of simple ritual to slow down the moments of grief and bring healing moments to times of challenge. This class will illustrate what it means to be a friend to grief and how to facilitate a better relationship with discomfort in communities when a death has occurred. Lastly, we will gain knowledge toward becoming a true activist in your community with regard to options, ensuring that your home town is a good place to die.
