Quan Yin Five Element Qigong
This complete set of forms is incredibly settling and centering, moving us through the Five Elements and their distinct medicines, all under the supportive influence of Quan Yin, Goddess of Healing and Compassion.
In this practice we call on Quan Yin as High Priestess of the Warrior Heart. Before her we kneel as dedicated students, and bow as loving kin. We surrender to her gentle and firm example of how to embody both fierceness and beauty; how to embrace, equally, strength and serenity; how to carry discipline and grace together; and how to hold dignity and compassion as one.
This ultra nourishing Qigong set can be practiced as seated or standing practice.
We’ll be meditating in simple silence for the first 5-10 minutes or so, which gives us all time to settle in. Sit comfortably with spine long and vertical, and prepare to shift your camera for standing practice after we share space for some introduction.
For those who wish to familiarize themselves with the set ahead of time, which is helpful but not necessary, Brea teaches this class weekly on Sundays at 10am MST through May, and will begin Summer term after the Spirit Weavers Virtual Gathering mid-June.
