Apitherapy is an available and accessible natural medicine therapy that includes all products specifically from the honeybee: honey, bee pollen, propolis, beeswax, royal jelly, and most notable, bee venom. These are living natural medicines and potent. With the exception of royal jelly, they are from these lands and can be easily part of your healthy living tool chest. During class, we will make a traditional beeswax salve and honey wound salve, as well as, give ourselves a honey facial, which promotes elasticity and deep tissue moisture. Much of the second half of the class will be dedicated to talking about bee venom therapy (BVT). BVT is an ancient medicine with powerful results in relation to Lyme’s Disease, chronic pain, arthritis, chronic fatigue syndrome, autoimmune diseases, various inflammation issues, and overall declined immune system. The honeybees that will be offered for conducting test stings will be ones from a spirit bowl placed near beehives on Cedar Bloom Farm. Joy will conduct traditional test stings to demonstrate the process and teach those who would like like to learn her technique. Joy Catherine McEwen will be sharing Apitherapy with Bee Venom Therapy and Keeping Bees Naturally with Natural Nest beekeeping.

Apitherapy will be offered by Joy Catherine McEwen.
